La palabra Reificación tiene dos significados: la cosificación de procesos, relaciones y acciones humanas, volviéndose independientes del hombre y gobernando su existencia, o el proyectar características humanas en objetos y abstracciones, como si poseyeran vida.  

 

En Reificación indago, a través de dos acciones, sobre el cuerpo individual y el cuerpo social como espacios ideológicamente cargados. Ordeno en el suelo -cual extensiones y a modo de estriptis, hasta desnudarme- todos los objetos que llevo un día cualquiera. Paralelamente, tomando como leitmotiv mis calzoncillos y apropiándome de textos, imágenes e información vía Google, elaboro una narración pendular público-privada donde oscilan ambos cuerpos.

The term reification holds two meanings: the objectification of processes, relationships and human actions, which thus become independent and govern human existence; and the projection of human characteristics onto objects and abstractions, as if they had life.

 

In Reificación, a double action investigates the individual body and the social body as ideologically charged spaces. Through a striptease, I arrange all of the objects that I wear/carry with me on any given day on the ground, like extensions of my body. At the same time, using my underpants as a leitmotif and appropriating texts, images and information from Google, I develop a pendular public-private narration within which both bodies oscillate.
